Senior Web Application Engineer

As a web application engineer, I am responsible for developing internal and external data-driven web based applications based on specifications from the project manager. I work with the project manager and QA Analyst to debug code, put the code into production, maintain the code during its complete lifecycle. I go into existing code base, understand the inter-workings of that code, troubleshoot bugs, and add new features to that code.

The applications are developed in ColdFusion, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and built on an Oracle database. I work closely with other senior web application engineers as well as other technology professionals and project stakeholders.

As the current Business Analyst I am responsible for meeting with clients and project managers to define requirements and provide technical advice throughout the project scoping process. I am responsible for creating project requirements, wireframes, prototypes and functional specifications. I also negotiate functionality decisions with client to keep project within budget and on schedule.

As Junior Web Developer I was responsible for creating the HTML skin for Web site templates based on a set of design comps. I used graphic design tools to slice and optimize images, CSS for style and formatting, ColdFusion and JavaScript for implementing interactive features. Worked with other development staff to integrate skins into content management system (CMS), e-mail blast templates, and other third party tools.
